Research statement

My work asks a single question in several forms: what do financial conditions do to agricultural investment, and who carries the risk?

The MSc research modelled the impact of financial volatility on agricultural investment in Nigeria over 1970–2023. Earlier work traced the effect of naira depreciation on agricultural productivity, export volumes and farmers' incomes, and examined the adoption of — and the constraints on — digital credit systems among farmers in Akwa Ibom State.

The methods are empirical throughout: long macroeconomic series, survey data from farming households, and the statistical work needed to say something defensible about either.
