Simple does not mean shallow.

One thing I am learning about communication is that simple does not mean shallow. Sometimes I think a message has to sound complex to be professional, but that is not true. The best professional messages are often simple, direct, and easy to follow.
This matters to me because I work with people from different backgrounds. Some people understand technical language. Others just want to know what happened, what it means, and what they should do next. If I use complicated words when simple ones would work, I may lose the reader.
I want to become the kind of communicator who can explain difficult things clearly. That takes practice. It also takes patience because clear writing usually comes after revision. I am learning that a strong message is not the one that sounds the most impressive. It is the one that the reader can understand and use.
