Seek After Good Things.

Article of Faith 13 teaches that we should seek after things that are "virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy." To me, this is not only about what I avoid. It is also about what I choose to create, watch, read, share, and support.
This matters a lot in today’s world because we are surrounded by content every day. Some content encourages faith, learning, kindness, and discipline. Other content slowly pulls our thoughts toward anger, pride, lust, gossip, or wasted time. I do not think every piece of content has to be religious to be good, but it should not make me less honest, less pure, or less sensitive to the Spirit.
As a creator, Article of Faith 13 reminds me to ask, "Would I be comfortable sharing this with someone I respect?" As a consumer, it reminds me to ask, "Is this helping me become the kind of person I want to be?" Those two questions can guide small daily choices. What I create and consume shapes what I think about, and what I think about shapes who I become.
