The Growth that comes with Feedback.

This week reminded me that feedback is part of growth. Sometimes feedback is easy to receive because it confirms what I already thought. Other times, it points out something I missed, and that can be uncomfortable. Still, good feedback can make a project stronger.

When my video script was peer reviewed, I had to decide what to keep and what to revise. That was a useful experience because not every suggestion must be accepted, but every suggestion should be considered. The goal is not to defend the first draft. The goal is to improve the final work.

I am learning that revision is where a lot of real writing happens. The first draft gives me something to work with, but the revised draft shows clearer thinking. This applies beyond school. In professional life, people will review my emails, reports, proposals, and presentations. If I can receive feedback without taking it personally, I will communicate better and work better with others.
